To knit baby booties with laces, you will need<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n

1-Worsted weight yarn (any color) <\/span><\/p>\n

2-Size 6 (4.0 mm) knitting needles <\/span><\/p>\n

3-stitch marker <\/span><\/p>\n

4-tapestry needle <\/span><\/p>\n

5-2 laces (about 10 inches long)<\/span><\/p>\n

Cast on 32 stitches.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Knit in garter stitch for 16 rows.<\/h6>\n
Shape the heel:<\/strong><\/h5>\n
1-K1, K2tog, K1, return. <\/span><\/h6>\n
2-P1, P2tog, P1, return. <\/span><\/h6>\n
3-Repeat rows 1 and 2 until there are 16 stitches left on the\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 needle.<\/span><\/h6>\n
4-K2tog, K1, KT2tog, K1, pass the remaining stitches over the\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 first 2 stitches.<\/span><\/h6>\n

Finishing:<\/strong><\/h5>\n
1-Knit the ends. <\/span><\/h6>\n
2-Thread the laces through the holes on the sides of the booties.<\/span><\/h6>\n
To make the laces:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

1-We cast 2 stitches. <\/span><\/p>\n

2-K1, P1, K1, P1 all the way down. <\/span><\/p>\n

3-Repeat row 2 until the laces are at the desired length. <\/span><\/p>\n

4-To throw.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the laces are made, thread them through the holes on the sides of the booties and tie them in a bow. You can also use ribbon or yarn to make laces.<\/p>\n

Tips:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
If you are knitting for a newborn baby, you may want to cast fewer stitches. Sew more stitches to make the booties wider. To make the booties longer, knit more rows in garter stitch before shaping the heel and toe. You can also add decorations such as buttons, beads and flowers to your booties.<\/span><\/h6>\n
