Crochet Mini Sun Hat Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:
1-Worsted weight yarn in the color you want
2-Size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet
3- thread needle
Gauge:
18 stitches and 24 rowsper 4 inches (10 cm) in single crochet
Finished Size:
Approximately 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter and 3 inches (7.5 cm) deep
Instructions:
1-Chain 4 and join with slip stitch to form a ring. Single crochet in ring 12 times.
2-Pull the loop tight and join it with a slip stitch into the first single crochet. 3-Round 2: 2nd chain (counts as first sc) and sc in each sc around.
4-Join the first single crochet with a slip stitch.
5-Repeat Round 2 until the crown is approximately 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter.
Brim:
1-We make 2 chains and make single crochet hook into the second chain.
2-Continue single crochet in each chain, making 2 single crochet stitches in each corner chain.
3-Join the first single crochet with a slip stitch. Round 2: Chain 2 and make single crochet in each stitch.
4-Join the first single crochet with a slip stitch. Repeat Round 2 until the edge is approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep.
Finishing:
1-Pin and braid the ends.
2-Fold the edge in half and sew the two edges together.
Optional:
1-You can add ribbon or flowers to the hat for decoration.
2-To make a smaller hat, use a smaller hook and lighter yarn.
3-To make a larger hat, use a larger hook and heavier yarn.
